Weekly Views

Hey, Would you be able to add Weekly or Biweekly views for the budget tab and reports tab?So instead of weekly defaulting to $200 needed more this month in the budget tab, it would be 50$ this week, with line breaks to see.And reports you could see how much income/expenses you’ve have total and per category or merchant, ect per week or biweekly. Could help budgeting a bit better without just focusing on the month.

The easy part is breaking the progress bar up into chunks that represent weeks. YNAB does this, as in your screenshot. The annoying part is all of the calculations are based on a monthly budget. For example, the Monthly Summary Target Progress at the top of Budget tab. This might need to change? Or, at least you can understand how someone might get confused one way or the other; if it includes all weeks for the month or just the current week. And the "Underfunded" filter. Are categories that have the current week funded considered funded? I can see arguments both ways. Good suggestion, and I've thought about this a lot before without being able to come up with a good solution to these problems. I'm open to hearing more from you and others, and keeping an eye on the votes here 🙏 thanks!

Hey, sorry for the late response, but I think if you set a weekly view the “Monthly Progress” could stay monthly but maybe also broken up into sections so you can see per week progress and monthly at the same time. As for the underfunded filter, i would say it would go per week, because if I, the user, wanted to see a weekly view, i would want to know what i underfunded and cant spend as much that week, not the entire month. I definitely understand the difficulty and debate. Thanks for the great response and thoughts! Keep up the great work!
