Default and context aware account for new transactions

I see there was already a request a while ago for the option to choose a default account, but I don’t see this option. Furthermore, I think the new transaction action could pick the account if we are checking the transactions on one specific one from the accounts tab. For me right now it seems to choose the first account from alphabetical order. Allowing us to reorder accounts in the accounts tab would also be neat. Thank you!

The accounts are context aware when you select a payee. If you select a payee that was used before, it’ll automatically switch to that account.

You can set the default account in the Settings -> Transactions. It is supposed to default to the account that you have open in the accounts tab but looks like that has broken recently. I’ll fix that. So, sounds like this request we can simplify to just being able to reorder the accounts in the accounts tab?

Igor oh I seem to have missed the second sub menu, never mind. If you fix the open account bug, then this request is all solved! But yeah, reordering the accounts list could be interesting, thanks!
